I think I can, I think I can…

Hello and Happy day to you!

As many of you know, I just (praise the Lord!) recovered from a minor hamstring injury that forced me to pull out of Rock n’ Roll San Diego.

But! I am back running and haven’t had any problems with my hamstring since.

I do, however, feel as though I have lost some fitness.

Or maybe it is in my head?

Who knows.

I am feeling a little off this week. Continue reading

Things That (As A Runner) I Can’t Stand!

Hello and Happy day to you!

As a runner, there are certain things that really piss me off!

I am sure most people don’t understand, but maybe you (being a fellow runner) will agree with me…

1. When some moron sprints ahead and then stops in front of me in the middle of a race.

Pull your head out of your ass, man! I mean come on! It’s called peripheral vision, use it and check out your surroundings before you come to a complete freakin’ stop. I understand that you are tired, but really? Continue reading

Foodie Friday: Amazing Grass Protein Superfood Chocolate Peanut Butter Recovery Shake and a Giveaway!

Hello and Happy day to you!

Here we are again…

Another Friday and another great recipe.

Let’s do this!

Last year, I used to go to the gym every morning before work…

this year… not so much.

I would rather run outside, take a shower, and get ready for work in the comfort of my own home with these two dorks…

catsMeet Max and Diesel, my cats. Continue reading

Don’t be a burnout!

A friend of mine just finished her very first marathon (congrats Heather!); she has been training for a long time. Yesterday, I asked her if she was planning on running tomorrow (which is now today). Her response was, “No, probably Friday”.

At the time, I was blown away! I thought to myself, “how could she take 4 days off?”

Her reason was simple, she didn’t want to get burned out. She wanted to be hungry to run again and she wasn’t mentally there yet.

After giving it some thought, I realized how right she really was. Continue reading

Injuries suck!

Well hello there! Happy Friday to you out there in blogland. I am impatiently waiting for it to be Sunday so I can kick some bootie for 13.1 miles during the SLO Marathon.

I think I might have mentioned this a few times (here, here, and here…. yeah, sorry about that).

Anyway, I am just a little (okay, ridiculously) excited.

On to more important business,
