…And Take Names.

Hello and Happy day to you!

Every few months I feel like I write one of these posts…

The post where I realize I am slacking (no offense Fallon!), decide to pick myself up by the bootstraps and get my sh*t together.

Also known as this post, this post, this post and this post.

The post where I decide to start kicking a$$ and taking names.

This post is a little different though.

Foodie Friday: The Lazy Runner Edition

Hello and happy day to you!

Today’s edition of “Foodie Friday” is going to be a little bit different.

Don’t freak out.

Instead of sharing a recipe that I like, I have a few quick and easy meal suggestions for you.

This post was inspired by a conversation I had with one of my best friends a few weeks ago.

She was complaining commenting on how she never has time to cook dinner because she is so busy working,

taking care of her family,

cleaning the house,

and of course,

working out.

And I, being the absolute laziest meal-prepper on the planet…

gave her a few suggestions that I use to make my meal prep Monday as short and sweet as possible.

I thought it would be a great idea to share those tips with you…

So here we goooooo!

I think I can, I think I can…

Hello and Happy day to you!

As many of you know, I just (praise the Lord!) recovered from a minor hamstring injury that forced me to pull out of Rock n’ Roll San Diego.

Boo!

But! I am back running and haven’t had any problems with my hamstring since.

WOO WHOO!

I do, however, feel as though I have lost some fitness.

Or maybe it is in my head?

Who knows.

I am feeling a little off this week. Continue reading

Things That (As A Runner) I Can’t Stand!

Hello and Happy day to you!

bathroom

As a runner, there are certain things that really piss me off!

I am sure most people don’t understand, but maybe you (being a fellow runner) will agree with me…

1. When some moron sprints ahead and then stops in front of me in the middle of a race.

Pull your head out of your ass, man! I mean come on! It’s called peripheral vision, use it and check out your surroundings before you come to a complete freakin’ stop. I understand that you are tired, but really? Continue reading

Foodie Friday: Sweet Potato & Egg Breakfast Hash

This blog posting day is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I love cooking up delicious food, taking pictures of it and then sharing it with you all.

As runners, we know the food is fuel.

And, as they say…

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

And this meal is officially the greatest breakfast on the planet.

No joke man.

Complete with complex carbs, protein and the healthy fats that we need to power through our day.

I’m Preventing Future Running Injuries!

Well… HELLO!

Happy Tuesday!

Hope things are well with you on this lovely day.

My shin is feeling better- which means that I am mentally feeling better.

Obviously…

My emotions are tied directly to whether or not I can run in the near future.

Obviously.

As I mentioned yesterday, not running is making me a little loco.

This is not a joke people. Continue reading

Group blog post: Use an Inspiration Board to Jump Start Your Fitness Goals

Hi everyone! I have another special treat for you today! I have a guest blog post from Michelle, one of my awesome readers!

A little bit about her:

My name is Michelle and I work at a spa called Skana, in a small town in Upstate NY.  I’ve recently taken an interest in what inspires others to live a healthy lifestyle.  With my knowledge of health and wellness, people were always asking me what I do to stay healthy, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share my knowledge with others.

To me, the daily stresses and life’s challenges, make it so important to make health a priority and inspire us to treat our body right. That motivation morphed into habit once I knew how great taking care of myself felt! Continue reading
