…And Take Names.
Hello and Happy day to you!
Every few months I feel like I write one of these posts…
The post where I realize I am slacking (no offense Fallon!), decide to pick myself up by the bootstraps and get my sh*t together.
Also known as this post, this post, this post and this post.
The post where I decide to start kicking a$$ and taking names.
This post is a little different though.
Foodie Friday: The Lazy Runner Edition
Hello and happy day to you!
Today’s edition of “Foodie Friday” is going to be a little bit different.
Don’t freak out.
Instead of sharing a recipe that I like, I have a few quick and easy meal suggestions for you.
This post was inspired by a conversation I had with one of my best friends a few weeks ago.
She was complaining commenting on how she never has time to cook dinner because she is so busy working,
taking care of her family,
cleaning the house,
and of course,
working out.
And I, being the absolute laziest meal-prepper on the planet…
gave her a few suggestions that I use to make my meal prep Monday as short and sweet as possible.
I thought it would be a great idea to share those tips with you…
So here we goooooo!

What motivates you to run?
Hello and Happy day to you!
It’s no secret…

Technically, it has been 18 days since my last blog post.

Hello and Happy day to you!
As many of you know, I just (praise the Lord!) recovered from a minor hamstring injury that forced me to pull out of Rock n’ Roll San Diego.
Boo!
But! I am back running and haven’t had any problems with my hamstring since.
WOO WHOO!
I do, however, feel as though I have lost some fitness.
Or maybe it is in my head?
Who knows.
I am feeling a little off this week. Continue reading
It’s Fine. I Ran Today.
Hello and Happy day to you!
I very seriously need this shirt.
Like very, very seriously.
It totally encapsulates how I have been feeling the last few days.
As many of you know, I tweaked my hamstring during the 5K at Rock n Roll San Diego, a week and a half ago.
So, I spent all of last week foam rolling, stretching, and trying to rest my hamstring.
Although my coach gave me permission to run on Friday, I was UBER paranoid about returning before my leg was fully healed.
A running injury is not the end of the world.
Hello and Happy Day to you!
If you read my blog post from Tuesday, you already know that Rock n’ Roll San Diego did not go as planned.
I tweaked my hamstring during the 5K and was unable to run the half marathon on Sunday.
It was a major bummer.

Things That (As A Runner) I Can’t Stand!
Hello and Happy day to you!
As a runner, there are certain things that really piss me off!
I am sure most people don’t understand, but maybe you (being a fellow runner) will agree with me…
1. When some moron sprints ahead and then stops in front of me in the middle of a race.
Pull your head out of your ass, man! I mean come on! It’s called peripheral vision, use it and check out your surroundings before you come to a complete freakin’ stop. I understand that you are tired, but really? Continue reading
