I think I can, I think I can…


Hello and Happy day to you!

As many of you know, I just (praise the Lord!) recovered from a minor hamstring injury that forced me to pull out of Rock n’ Roll San Diego.

Boo!

But! I am back running and haven’t had any problems with my hamstring since.

WOO WHOO!

I do, however, feel as though I have lost some fitness.

Or maybe it is in my head?

Who knows.

Things That (As A Runner) I Can’t Stand!

As a runner, there are certain things that really piss me off!

I am sure most people don’t understand, but maybe you (being a fellow runner) will agree with me…

1. When some moron sprints ahead and then stops in front of me in the middle of a race.

I have 3 days until the big day.

And by big day, I mean the OC Half Marathon.

You know, the race where I plan to blow my current (post-injury) PR out of the water?

I know I have NOT talked about this race before, so I can see where you could be lost.

(I’m using my sarcastic voice- in case you can’t hear it)

Join the RatherBeRunnin’ Training Academy!


I have been running Marathons and Half Marathons since 2009. As of July 2015, I have run 2 full marathons and 11 half marathons. The obvious assumption is that I love running. Duh.

Paired with my love for running, is a quest to coerce as many of my friends and family members into running with me! I have happily developed training plans and offered training advice for a number of runners… all of whom have successfully achieved their goal of finishing a race. I have decided to expand this quest and start my own “Training Academy”.

Have you ever wanted to run a 5k? A 10K? A Half Marathon? A Marathon? But thought to yourself, “No way, that’s crazy… I can’t do that”.
